Ron Clearfield is a highly visible recording
artist, performer and conductor. Having toured
extensively, he is available as a soloist
featuring the wide variety of beautiful music
he has written and recorded. His concerts
have been acclaimed as inspiring, uplifting
and  filled with the beauty of his cello playing.
He also performs in collaboration with other
musicians, dancers and poets.
Ron is presently Conductor and Music Director
of the Blue Ridge Orchestra and the Asheville Youth Orchestra. He was recently appointed as regional
conductor of the Symphony for United Nations
and placed as a finalist for the conducting
position for the Brevard Philharmonic.
Mr. Clearfield, a well know clinician, has
a particular talent for developing a professional
sound in both youth and civic orchestras.
 While at the New England Conservatory of
Music, he studied with two of the world's
leading string pedagogues, Joseph Silverstein
and Leon Barzan. His training with these
icons has enabled him explain and demonstrate
the technical components of a world-class
string sound which is the foundation of any
great orchestra.
